Students are required to complete the curriculum in one of the majors listed below within 4 to 6 years and fulfill the designated number of credits. Successful graduates will receive a graduation certificate along with the bachelor's degree, according to the regulation of the Degree Committee. Tuition fee is between CNY 20,000-24,000 per year.
01 Application Period
From Dec. 1st, 2021 to April 30th, 2022
02 Eligibility
Ø non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport,healthy physically and mentally.
If the applicant was an immigrant from Chinese Mainland, Hongkong, Macau or Taiwan and obtained the current nationality; or if the applicant obtained the current nationality through birth when his/her parents or one of his/her parents lived in a foreign country as a Chinese,he/she has to hold a valid passport (or a relative proof document) of current nationality for at least 4 year, and within the recent 4 years ( as of the date of April 30th of the enrollment year), the applicant has to stay physically in the foreign country for at least 2 years.
Ø attained Senior Secondary Certificate of Education.
Ø above 16 but not over 30 years old, applicants of scholarship should be under the age of 25; applicants under the age of 18 should provide a formal “letter of authorization” by his/her parents and authorize any Chinese or foreigners who have permanent residence right in China, and provide a “Statement of Guardianship”.
Ø The GPA in high school period of the applicants should not be lower than 2.5 (scholarship applicants’ GPA should not be lower than 3.0), or the average score should not be less than 75 (scholarship applicants’ average score should not be lower than 80).
Ø All our majors of bachelor program are taught in Chinese, and applicants for majors of sports or TCSOL should have obtained a valid HSK4 certificate with the score of 200 or above within two years; applicants with the title of world-class high level athletes’ HSK score can be adjustable; applicants for other non-sport majors should have obtained a valid HSK5 certificate with the score of 180 or above within two years; scholarship applicants should hold a valid HSK5 certificate with the score of 210 or above within 2 years.
Ø applicants of Sports training should be qualified with a semi-professional sports skills; applicants of Performance and Choreographer should have art education background.
Ø No criminal record
03 Required Materials
The applicants must fill in and provide the following documents truly, correctly and completely (hard copies are not necessary).
l One photocopy of your valid passport.
l One photocopy of your diploma of high school (a notarized Chinese or English translation is demanded if the original version is in other languages). For those who are about to graduate, a certification of expected graduation is also acceptable).
l One photocopy of your transcript of academic records during your high school study.
l One photocopy of valid HSK certificate for the most recent years.
l A video of self-introduction in Chinese with the format of MP4.
l A copy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form.
l Any proof documents to prove your sports or art skills (if available).
l No criminal record or commitment letter of no criminal record.
l Proof of financial guarantee with the amount of cash not less than RMB 100 thousand.
l Payment record of application fee: 500 RMB or 80 USD.
NOTE: All the documents should be bound together on top left corner if hard copies are sent. You should submit TWO sets of bound documents to our university by posting or handing in during application open period. A valid e-mail address is required for good contact. The application materials and application fee will not be returned in any case.
04 How to apply
Step 1: Online application
Please visit http://admission.sus.edu.cn to register and fill in the application form, upload the required digital application documents listed and complete the online application.
Those who apply CSC or SGS scholarship should submit all the documents to the relative websites too (c.f. Scholarship part).
Step 2: Pay application fee

06 Procedure of Admission
Step1: Students apply online and submit all the required materials.
Step2:The International Students Office check if materials are complete and correct, and pass the complete and correct materials to the schools.
Step 3: The schools will check the applicants’ academic ability by academic check and interviews and decide the pre admission list.
Step4: The leader group of international degree students admission work will verify the final admission list.
Step5: The international students office will post the verified final admission list online for three days’ publicity period and to the relative departments for scholarship applicants.
Step6: After the publicity period, the international students office will send pre-admission notice to the applicants themselves and make the final formal documents.
